In 1939, William S. “Bill” Porter establishes the company in Arizona, beginning a family construction legacy that continues today.

During World War II, Porter performs construction at Williams Air Force Base, helping establish a culture of precision, accountability, and craftsmanship.

Northern Arizona
In 1954, the Porter family moves to Flagstaff. The company builds elementary schools and completes projects at Northern Arizona University.

Major Projects & Growth
Porter expands across Arizona. General Motors hires the company to construct the majority of its Arizona Proving Ground facilities. In 1969, Bill Porter is unanimously elected President of the Arizona Senate.

In 1974, Gary and Dennis Porter establish Porter Bros., Inc., beginning a new era of family leadership and company growth.

Porter Brothers continues expanding across commercial, institutional, and religious construction. In 1985, the company completes the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors’ Center.

Porter Brothers expands across Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, California, Texas, and Utah. The company focuses heavily on office condominium development and grows its industrial portfolio through projects with Empire Southwest.
